It was convenient good location and comfortable, did not try the food so no comment on that
Booked a preiere double room, it was in the bAsement with no view, the room Smelt and was damp, the bed was damp as well. Had to move room to a twin
Breakfast was cold, teapot poured everywhere but in the tea cup.In the room there was not a welllit mirror for applying make up, not even the bath room mirror was well lit.
Pillows were solid. Room was far too hot. Lift out of order and no one offered to help with my bag.
The room is clean and confortable. Rocation is good.Buffe Breakfast is reasonable.
Car parking is far from hotel
My only complaint would be the cost of the breakfast. On the website it stated £8.95 but we were charged £9.95. Not a major difference but a disappointment.
The hotel was well appointed for the city centre. Our room was excellent for a three star hotel, with very good facilities. We only had breakfast at the hotel and found this was reasonable. Perhaps the one thing that let this hotel down was the main entrance, which could do with brightening up.

The Hotel was perfectly situated for shops, bars, restaurants and sightseeing. Check in was fast and efficient and the breakfast room was managed superbly by 2 sisters. There was a good selection of food to start the day. Although we were unable to park in the very small car park adjacent to the hotel we were allocated complimentary parking just a few minutes walk away. It was an easy journey into London with trains running very regularly.
Cheap and nasty mattress covers did not fit the bed properly and bathroom towels were a bit on the thin side.
I book the hotel room with Comfort hotel on the non refundable basis, however I am surprised at how very inflexible they are regarding this policy. I have booked one night and then added a further night under a separate booking, two nights in total. My stepmother was moved to a hospice in Moggerhanger with ovarian cancer, which moved into the final stage far quicker then we had anticipated. I contacted the hotel 5 days earlier than I was due to stay at the hotel to see if there was any way to cancel the booking. I was told that I needed to call back the next day to talk to the manger. Which I did explaining the situation that my step mother was in the final stages of cancer and I wanted to be closers to her, they would still not make a change stating the money had already been taken from my account. As I had paid for the hotel I decided to use it on the first night and travel back and forth. I had been with my stepmother all day on each of the three days prior to checking into the hotel. Literally as I walked through their doors my sister called to say that she had passed away, 30 mins after I left her that day. I again asked if I could at least cancel the second night to which I received a flat no. Due to the rigidity and inflexible nature of the Comfort hotel in any circumstance I will never use them again and also advise all friends, family and work colleagues to steer well clear of this dispassionate people.
Would have prefered a warmer welcome from your receptionist and I know that you have to watch cost's but the room was freezing with the heating switched off maybe the cleaning staff could have left the heating on when they left the room that day.
The staff were very friendly, helpful and informative. The room was very modern, comfortable and warm. Breakfast was efficient and swiftly served. The location is great - right in the centre of the gorgeous city of St Albans.
The disabled facilities at this hotel are attrocious. I was made to walk down a spiral flight of stairs to use the bathroom. The staff on arrival were not in the least bit helpful. The duty manager saved the day.
The location was perfect and the hotel was clean and comfortable.
I thought the hotel's decor was excellent. Very modern and clean. The reception staff were very helpful and friendly.
Very close to wedding venue we attended. Good parking. Clean room. Friendly staff.
